I'm not sure I need therapy. How do I know this is right for me?
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy, especially if it’s your first time. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy; many people seek support to better understand themselves, navigate life transitions, improve their relationships, or process past traumas.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about how therapy could help, I encourage you to reach out. We can have a conversation about what you're looking for and help you determine if therapy feels like the right fit for you.
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is all about getting to know you, what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what feels difficult. We’ll discuss what’s happening in your life and begin to explore how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you.
How does therapy with you look like?
In a virtual therapy session with me, you’ll experience the same sense of comfort, safety, and support as you would in an in-person setting, right from the privacy of your own space. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Therefore, we’ll talk naturally, just like we would in person, focusing on the issues that matter most to you. During our conversation, we’ll look for patterns in your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors that may be affecting you. Whether we explore past experiences or focus on current challenges, I’ll help you connect the dots and gain clarity on areas where you feel stuck.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes long. Most clients start with weekly therapy, but frequency can vary depending on your goals and availability. We will discuss what feels manageable and supportive for your needs.
